His public struggle with this personal tragedy was highlighted in Season 5 of “Summer House,” where a title card directed viewers to Shatterproof. Carl’s involvement didn’t stop there. He was the Team Captain representing Shatterproof on “Celebrity Family Feud.” Though they didn’t win the top prize, they proudly secured $5,000 for the charity. Release Recovery Foundation
Carl’s connection with Release Recovery is rooted in friendship and shared goals. Founded by Zac Clarke, former Bachelor star and a personal friend, this foundation focuses on addiction recovery. Carl recently supported Big Vision during their 3×3 Basketball Tournament. This New York City-based nonprofit appeals to Carl because of its focus on activities and sober events. With a clubhouse in the city, Big Vision provides a safe, sober space for youth to socialize and engage in positive activities. Carl is also a proud supporter of Heal Our Heroes/Headstrong. This initiative resonates with him due to his family’s military background. His grandfather, a Marine in the Korean War, and his uncle, an Army officer in Vietnam, both endured significant post-conflict challenges.
