Following the tragic loss of his brother to an overdose, Carl aligned with this Connecticut-based addiction nonprofit as a resource for families seeking support. His public struggle with this personal tragedy was highlighted in Season 5 of “Summer House,” where a title card directed viewers to Shatterproof. Carl’s involvement didn’t stop there. He was the Team Captain representing Shatterproof on “Celebrity Family Feud.” Though they didn’t win the top prize, they proudly secured $5,000 for the charity. Carl is also a proud supporter of Heal Our Heroes/Headstrong. This initiative resonates with him due to his family’s military background. His grandfather, a Marine in the Korean War, and his uncle, an Army officer in Vietnam, both endured significant post-conflict challenges.
